What should I wear?
Our dress code is semi-formal. We kindly ask that guests dress in cocktail attire—think dresses, jumpsuits, suits, or button-downs with slacks. Feel free to have fun with color, but please avoid white or anything that might outshine the bride!
Can I bring a plus one?
We’d love to celebrate with everyone, but due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If your invitation says “and guest,” you’re welcome to bring a plus one!
Are children invited?
We are only able to accommodate children whose names are listed on the invitation or if your invitation includes “and family.” Thank you for your understanding as we keep our guest list intimate.
Is there transportation to and from the venue?
Yes! We will be providing shuttle service to and from the venue. More details and a schedule will be shared closer to the big day.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin in the late afternoon. More details will be provided with your invitation.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will take place both indoors and outdoors, so we recommend dressing comfortably for both!
What’s the weather like this time of year?
Bluford, Illinois in late September usually has beautiful early fall weather. Expect daytime highs in the mid-70s and cooler evenings in the mid-50s. It’s a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater for later in the evening—just in case!
How far is the venue from Mount Vernon?
The venue is located on E Wells Chapel Rd in Bluford, Illinois—about a 15–20 minute drive from most hotels in Mount Vernon.
Is there parking at the venue?
